For a quarter of a century, Troop 409 has been dedicated to cultivating exceptional leadership skills in the youth of the broader Excelsior region. Since its establishment in 1996, our troop has adhered steadfastly to a philosophy centered on an engaging and instructive outdoor program. This approach remains largely consistent, emphasizing progressive leadership development that fosters confidence, self-reliance, and accountability among our scouts. Seasoned adult volunteers, many of whom are Eagle Scouts themselves, provide mentorship to both older and younger scouts, ensuring a supportive and enriching environment. If you seek a challenging yet fulfilling Scouting journey, Troop 409 might just be the ideal fit for you.

Troop 409 teaches scouts to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law to instill strong character, independence, and a desire to serve the community.
